Kodak Easyshare V570 camera-error # E45. See user's guide show on
The camera was working fine until I bought a cable to charge and get the data off. After trying the cable, which did not work, the camera was acting up. The cable was bought brand new.

Hi,
I am Sorry to Hear Regarding the Problem.E45 means the lens is jammed, tip so lens is facing down and shake to see if you can dislodge.
Look between the lens and the body and see if you can see any dirt or sand. The cost of repair is more than the value of the camera so you have nothing to lose from here.Try and dislodge the lens, smack the camera into your hand to try and free up lens, wiggle the lens to try and free it up.f no luck dismantle the camera and see if you can free up.

The Other option would be to Dissemble and you need to have Proper Schematics to Open them.I have Few people who actually said, this actually is also a fault with Battery. Let me Copy what they wrote :-
This problem is frequently due to weak/worn out batteries or corroded
battery terminals inside the
camera. If charging/replacing the batteries does not clear the problem,
remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth
(heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or
sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning.
Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then
replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it
doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/r...
It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose
solutions.
Had this problem with my little easy share V610, after 5 years it is the
first time anything had gone wrong with it. after checking your
solutions here, I have removed both the battery and memory card,
replaced them, and "Voila", the camera is working again...thank you:)
Try the above One for your Model and see, if these would help.
