Kohler vtwin 25hp erratic idol
I have a Kohler vtwin 25hp yard tractor that runs erratic after an hour or two of mowing. I started noticing the problem with a half tank of fuel, filled and ran great. On next mowing, replaced the filter and ran great for two hours and the erratic idol started again with a full tank. I've been religous in maintaining this tractor and has ran great for 5 years mowing a 4 acre lawn.

Hello. Go to any auto parts store and get a bottle of a fuel additive called seafoam. Follow the directions regarding how much to add. Run some of this treated fuel through the tractor for ten minutes and you will most likely solve your problem which is probably due to some residue moving through the carb. J.
I also wanted to add, I noticed oil in the air filter and traces of oil in the bottom of the intake housing. Not sure if this is related.
