I hope that when you say blank it means partially lit, with a kind of background, but no image. This solution is not for an abused phone, as it does not seem to be mechanical, or due to a loose connection. It rather seems like a firmware failure. It will not make your phone usable, instead, it will enable you to retrieve your saved numbers. Once these cheap things start failing they become disposable. Tried removing battery: No cigar. Tried opening it carefully (under 90 degrees) still no solution. Here's what worked for me. Phone off, either by powering it down of by having removed the battery. Get a toothpick, and with the phone CLOSED in the off position, pinch the power-on button and let the phone come on closed. It may not work the very first time, but you should be patient. Once it comes on, you can do just about anything with it until you power it down. **Make sure you have charged your battery prior to this, since will be spending some time retrieving your numbers**
