Lamborghini 2001 Diablo. I jumped the battery it arched. Now I have no fan motors for engine, no AC, no gas gauge, or dash lights. What is wrong???? Fuses are OK
All are electronically controlled and the controller has been fried by the power surge generated when the battery arched. I can't even imagine how much it is going to cost you to replace the BCM - body controller module - and have the wiring harness verified for shorted connectors.
The fuses burn when a constant current bigger than their rated capacity is flowing thru them - a short will fry them, a power surge won't. In your case the very high voltage / relatively low current power surge has destroyed the controller (which like every electronics equipment is highly sensitive to high voltage) but hasn't had enough current to blow the fuses. BTW the relays are specifically designed to sustain power surges without failing - they occur every time the relays are activated. The fuses burn when a constant current bigger than their rated capacity is flowing thru them - a short will fry them, a power surge won't. CHECK THE IGNITION MAIN FUSE.IF IGNITION FUSES OKAY YOU COULD HAVE DAMAGED FRIED THE ECM SOUND LIKE YOU COULD HAVE HOOK BATTERY UP WRONG WHEN JUMPED CHARGING
REPLACING BATTERY WITH OUT USING MEMORY SAVER YOU COULD HAVE LOST MEMORY TO THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND ECU CONTROL MODULE THAT CONTROLS ALL DASH LIGHTS AND DOOR LOCKS AND RADIO.YOU NEED LET THE LAMBORHINI DEALERSHIP RESET RECHECK ENGINE ELECTRICAL CONTROLS.REPLACING BATTERY WITH OUT USING MEMORY SAVER YOU COULD HAVE LOST MEMORY TO THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND ECU CONTROL MODULE THAT CONTROLS ALL DASH LIGHTS AND DOOR LOCKS AND RADIO.YOU NEED LET THE LAMBORHINI DEALERSHIP RESET RECHECK ENGINE ELECTRICAL CONTROLS.
GLAD YOU FIX I KNEW IT HAD TO BE A FUSE. FUSE IS CHEAPER FIX. THAN A GARAGE FIX.GLAD YOU FIX I KNEW IT HAD TO BE A FUSE. FUSE IS CHEAPER FIX. THAN A GARAGE FIX.

Yes, things like that happen. At least you were lucky.
