Laptop fails to start up when the start up button
Toshiba Satellite L300 Laptop fails to start up when the start up button is pressed Power pack is connected, it has been starting up well but whe I switched it off and shut the lid, the next time I opened it up it fails to respond to pressing the start button

Try to put on charge a couple of hours, then disconnect the transformer, after try to power up with out the transformer. If it will work normaly with out the transformer it means tha you mother board has a fail on management power. There is a way to override that situation, go to power managent of windows and put cpu with maximum performance for both situations with battery and with out battery.
The pwr supply is not properly connected to boot up. might be a h/w or s/w issue also. check with the service center
