Some way you have lost your operating system. The way to get your computer back up and running is locate your system restore disks. You can use these to reinstall your operating system. The first disk you will probably use is the OS disk itself. You can install your operating system with this disk. If you do not have the restore disks, you can either contact your computer manufacturer and request them, or you can just purchase the Operating System disk, which is kind of pricey, and reinstall the OS with that. Once you have gotten your hard drive reformatted, and your OS reinstalled, you will have to go to your manufacturer's website and download all the drivers that pertain to your specific computer.
