Laptop will not connect to wireless internet says it doesn't have a valid IP configuration. Have unplugged loads of times can get other wireless connections in the area but not mine

In your laptop, try to put an IP Address, subnet mask, default gateway and preferred DNS server. (please see below)
example:
IP address: 192.168.1.13 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS Server: 192.168.1.1
note: 192.168.1.1, is where your modem or your internet is connected (or the IP Address). This is the one that is provided/configured by your Internet Service Provider.
