Laptop wont boot...it wont load past the very first boot screen where it asks you to hit f12 for boot menu and f2 for system utilities it have the windows vista OS...is there a problem with the hard drive? if so how can it be fixed?

Windows is corrupt...reload Win OS....if possible re-install Windows in a different partition say D: or E: etc (if u have more than 1 partition) and then once done let it boot from that and let Win load....take a full backup of all of your critical data to a USB pen drive....then reload Win CD in the Cd drive, switch off and switch on PC let it boot from CD and delete all partition on HD, format the disk fully and repartition the disk and load Win in C:
