Try sealing with PermaChem (I think that what it's called). It's a thick, sticky, fuel resistant compound that some in a small 4 oz tube. It never really hardens. It's made for threads. If this won't work than try Seal-All It will harden & should seal a cracked fuel tank, temporary fix for a fuel hose leak, etc. It can be found at Walmart, Home Depot, etc.
