Leaking water, losing pressure and locking out - this boiler is 9 years old and recently kept losing pressure and then locking out
Today a plumber came out, refilled the boiler with water and within half an hour, water was pouring out of the bottom. He reckons the heat exchanger is shot and we need a new boiler. Is that likely with it being just 9 years old? And my other question, is it still safe to use whilst we wait for it to be replace/fixed? Thanks loads.

9 yrs old its like anything else depends on maintenance and quality of unit --not safe since if safety doesnt shut down unit much more damage can occur
