LED Indicator Problems & Flasher Relay?
Hi Guys, Anyone reading my previous threads will see that I am having problems with the indicator flashing rate after fitting front led indicators. Also I cannot find a flasher relay? The wiring diagram does not show one? I could have probably resolved the problem by fitting a flasher relay that copes with both kinds of indicators (these are available). This bike does not seem to have a flasher relay, is the flash rate controlled by the ecu? If anybody has found a led indicator that works at the correct flash rate, please let me know. I think someone said that Oberon bar end indicators worked at correct rate? I do not want to fit those as I wanted to fit Acerbis hand guards, but maybe the normal fit Oberon led indicators may be an option Any help/advice greatly appreciated. Regards.

Modern Ducatis (and cars) don't have a conventional flasher. The blink rate is controlled by the dash cpu. The blink rate change is used to indicate that a bulb is out (by sensing low resistance). Using a resistor will fool the cpu into blinking correctly.
What you need is a Badlands load equalizer. They are available from Zodiac, Custon Chrome or MCS dealers. The led indicators do not draw sufficient current to activate the relay properly and the load equalizer corrects this.
