Lexar 8GB wont work. when i insert it, it shows up on my computer as connected but then when i click on the lexar icon to view my files on it, it doesn't open, the message: 'please insert disk into drive F' -- but it is in there! so why isn't any computer letting me access my files, i've only purchased it earlier in the year...can any one also tell what the warranty on a 8GB Lexar usb stick would be please?

Some computers will not support a large 8GB stick. The best some will do is 2GB, If you are running a computer pre-2001, you may not be able to use the 8GB stick (I have the same problem with my desktop PC). It just is not supported!
panacam is a loon, who runs anything pre-2001? the answer is simple, some company in RoC flooded the market with these defective usb drives labelled "Lexar" and they did through bulk retailers like walmart. the part number on these things cannot be found not even the fcc codepanacam is a loon, who runs anything pre-2001? the answer is simple, some company in RoC flooded the market with these defective usb drives labelled "Lexar" and they did through bulk retailers like walmart. the part number on these things cannot be found not even the fcc code
Possible problem is 1) the LOCK is activated. This is the small slide on the left of the card. 2) your computer may NOT read the card if it cannot see the new, 8GB SDHC card. These cards have just come out in the last year and not all computers are compatible with this type of card.Possible problem is 1) the LOCK is activated.
