Lines when i take a picture and take a look at the image (in the camera or the PC display), it has interlaced dark lines across the whole image however when i take videos they look good. i've tried every combination of quality and megapixel configuration but the problem is still there. thanks in advance Peter

Hi peter,
Video will not be able to display the dark lines becoz its samling rate is low and so it cannot display detailed image.
With your 6 MP camera , the reason for the images having dark lines is that,
The SENSOR present inside your digital camera may have been covered by dirt or it may have some lines over it. so it is obvious for the images to reflect that.
So i suggest you to check the sensor with your service center.
