It is being a pain in the *** cannot get internet lol geez like frigg i want my dam cable internet to work with the wireless linksys modem wtf am i doing wrong it says successfully connected but it lies lmao cause i am not getting on my google says i am not connected so idk but its pissing me off lmao

OK step at a time. Is the modem plugged into the correct place on the router. There should be 4 or 5 slots that are grouped together or appear separated from one particular slot on the router? Sounds to me like you are reaching the router but not getting internet access??? Does your laptop show being on a network with the Linksys? Make sure you have the router wired correctly. If you have time warner they have 24/7 phone tech support
Ok just to be sure double check you have the cable plugged in the correct slot. If you are sure you are int he correct slots on both the router and the modem. Reset the modem by sticking a paper clip in the rest hole and holding it for 30 seconds. If that does not remedy the problem unplug the mode and the router for 1 minute. The router may have a battery you will need to remove. Try that then restart your laptop, Modem and router. If stuff is wired correctly that will solve most problem most of the time
Mine I had to connect the internet cable from the modem to the computer. After it connects you can disconnect and it should work
