Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless router unable to connect to Internet
I have a Linksys WRT54G2 Ver 1.5 Wireless-G router that is recently not recognizing internet connection from a cable modem. When my computer is directly connected to the cable modem, everything works fine, but when I wire the router to the modem, it doesn't seem like it recognizes the connection.
I have a computer, a backup drive, and a Vonage VOIP box plugged directly into the router. Both the computer and Vonage box are not receiving internet connection, but I am able to transfer files on my local network through it.
I have configured the router with automatic DHCP, entered my MAC clone ID, reset the settings, and even upgraded the firmware. There is still no connection when my computer or other devices are hard wired directly to the router. I even tried to power circuit all devices and still no luck.
I also configured the router using a static IP and still nothing. This router worked perfectly fine for months until a few hours ago. I can't think of anything else that would make my connection all of a sudden disappear. Maybe it's time for a new router? It is less than a year old, so I hope not.
Thanks!

Try again by Disabling the WEP (or WPA), MAC Address Filtering and Firewall Setting Individually. Should be a problem with one of those. Then when you receive the Signals, try to Adjust using Bottom Up method. That means one setting at a time, Hardening the Security. Have you checked your DNS settings? Have you checked the Channels you are using? Re check them and try again.
