Well the problem is with Lite-On DVD+RW drive. Unfortunately, I think the problem is that Windows XP does not support writable DVD media. The only information on microsoft.com suggests that Windows Longhorn version will support writing to DVD media. Until then I guess we have to use an application such as Nero to write files to DVD+/-R., Nero is very easy to use.

Try upgrading your windows XP to SP3, this version has more hardware compatibility drivers.
