Easter egg hunts 101. what are the symptoms.? did you check all fuses first/ that be , first does it blow on high? the book covering this (FSM) is free to read. we dont need to cut and paste it , every time asked. here it is. it's in the PDC read chapter 24 yet, HVAC then 8w (wiring) 8w42 it's all there. and not fake books, it's real the real deal from jeep. first off the GC has 2 type HVAC sold day 1 manual system and automatic, ATC they are totally different. so no one can answer you, lacking that fact. lets now look at both (extra work) the manual system has no relay, in the PDC, there is on inside the heater control but is not user serviceable. does the blow work on HIGH>????????? the ATC has a large relay. but is not in the PDC, its on the side of the HVAC per below drawings
page 8w -42-9 (ATC version only) 1 part of a complex system.
with the free book a $10 volt meter all this is easy to diagnose.
the manual system the blower is hot. (fused F11 pdc) the manual system the dash control, grounds the fan on HIGH. if not on high does so through a RESISTOR block that R is a relay but is part of the control. (buried) so if you ground that wire below, called c7 the fan must blow, or fuse F11 is blown. easy no? if the relay R , right coil is not 12v then that needs to be corrected, if fan blows hotwired, and R is not 0v out.
