Whenever I receive long distance call, we only hear the extended ring twice (one long ring, followed by two short rings). My phone service is by Rogers and we don't use the answering machine on the Olympia OL5815 cordless phones as we rely on the phone service's voicemail service.

Just now I did some fiddling around with the unit and I had formed these combinations:

Combination 1:
Announce Only: ON
Answer: OFF
Message Alert: OFF
Base Ringer: OFF
Announcement: 2

Combination 2:
Announce Only: OFF
Answer: ON
Message Alert: OFF
Base Ringer: OFF
Announcement: 2

Combination 3:
Announce Only: OFF
Answer: ON
Message Alert: OFF
Base Ringer: OFF
Announcement: 1

Combination 4:
Announce Only: OFF
Answer: ON
Message Alert: ON
Base Ringer: OFF
Announcement: 1

Combination 5:
Announce Only: OFF
Answer: OFF
Message Alert: OFF
Base Ringer: OFF
Announcement: 1

Combination 6:
Announce Only: ON
Answer: OFF
Message Alert: OFF
Base Ringer: OFF
Announcement: 2

I've tried everything, but nothing comes to avail. It was working before, but I couldn't remember which settings I had it on. To make matters worse, I've lost the original manual that came with the phone (I bought that **** from a store in Toronto called Factory Direct years ago....lol).

Any suggestions?
