Still no info from Asrock "support"(4 weeks) but then again, didn't really expect any. They might be whizz kids at plugging in modules and tweaking firmware but a real electronic problem is like speaking chinese to them ! (pun intended) So much for the world 're-cycling'efforts,smashing the boards up for the gold edges doesn't even come close to sensible. I know exactly what is wrong with this board and the components needed are surface mounted, therefore it is fixable. The component values are unmarked (typical)and it looks like the manufacturer couldnt care less or be bothered to publish cct diags. All manufacturers seem to be the same so it looks like I will have to wait for another 'genuinely scrap' board to come along and cannibalise that. Any offers anyone ??????
