Loose bottom stitch
I have a new home model L-372 that I used for almost 10 years. It was stitching perfectly and then all of a sudden the bottom stitching is not picking up. The bottom stitching just adjust in loop size depending on how I adjust the tension. I have tried everything. . . all the normal troubleshooting. This happened like 4 years ago and I tightened the little screw on the bobbin case and it solved the problem. This time no luck. I have cleaned and oiled the machine, changed the thread, tried different needles, and adjusted the tension every which way! No luck. Should I throw this machine in the trash? I am open to ANY advice.

If you feel adventureous you can take the bobbin case apart and make sure that it is clean and thread runs smooth thruugh it. This is delecate to do and takes younger eye's than mine and do this on a clean table covered in a plain cloth so you don't loose parts and don't force anything when putting back together it is stanliss steel but will break and screws can strip. If you have been sewing any thing that has any glue or is dirty you could have a build up that is draging the thread. Sometimes just a good cleaning in warm mildely soapy water will fix this.If tightening your upper tention helps some this is a good indacator that this is the problem.
