Loss of opl pressure
This is a just rebuilt 1974 850 cc motor. at start up and at speeds below 30 mph oil pressure is 45 to 60 psi but ten minutes at freeway speeds it drops drastically to less than 15 to 5 psi temp rises to about 20 to 30 degrees above normal

Might be the weight of oil you are using or brand. I've heard that Harley sportsters cant run amsoil because it thins to much once its warm and the oil pump can't make decent pressure on it. just a thought.
