Loss of power
I put a BUNCH of miles on my car -- have a 68-mile commute one way. So, my 2005 Lacrosse just went out of the extended warranty (102k miles). From day one, this car has had a hesitation upon acceleration -- kind of like a fuel line issue. The RPMs go way down (it's even stalled twice) and pushing the gas pedal does nothing. It will "catch" after a few seconds and then take off normally. Can't find a correlation between where I buy gas or the weather temp or conditions or really anything. It's so sporatic that the dealer hasn't been able to fix it -- they can't make it happen. But, as soon as I drive off their lot, it does it again. One time and one time only, I did get a blinking check engine light. I called OnStar to get them to run a diagnostics while the light was blinking. The only thing that they could tell me is that it was getting a "loss of power" error. So, anyone else out there own a 2005 Lacrosse or have any idea what's up with this lemon of a car??? Additional Details - The dealer has looked over the fuel system; I've added fuel injector cleaner to it; I've added gas treatment; the dealer changed out the catalytic converter. Can't think of what else to try.
