Go to the Canon website and get a new clean version of the driver software and use that version to reload the driver. Look to see if you can remove all of the old driver software before you load the new one. If this is not possible, proceed with the new installation as most good company software will look for old software and remove it before proceeding. Make sure that you have the complete software of the new driver software before starting any new installation as installing only part of it is a sure fire way to cause it to fail.
