My 7K Guardian Generator fired up when the power went out and the power turned on when the transfer switch fired and then after one or two seconds it went out. The generator was still running and the main breaker on the unit had not been tripped (nor any others). When I tested the voltage going into the main generator breaker (Red/white, Black / white, Red / black) it was only at 20 volts. The transfer swith registered the same 20 volts and had definately fired to the generator side of the panel. Is this normal? Any common problems that would create the issue of the power starting and then failing?
