Lzf6127 has diode in wiring harness, does not show in parts, is this a recall item
There is a section in the wiring harness going to the engine and it seems to have a diode in it, the connectors on either end can be connected together and run with out it, is ths section needed or will it run without it with no problems.

It shows your engine being a Kohler and not using a diode on the charging system, it uses a regulator rectifier that convert the AC current into Dc current and regulates it to the proper voltage. This part is usually found fastened to the flywheel shroud with the two outside wires going under the flywheel and the center wire being the 12 volt output charge wire. Is it possible you are looking at a fusible link, or a round plug connector ? The wiring harness page they offer is one of the worst I have seen. The diode only allows current to run in one direction, could be used on a battery charging light so it would glow red if the current was coming out of battery verus into the battery = not charging . Can you share with me what you are trying to bypass or correct .I can only guess it is the safety switches LOL .
Its to make alt. charge. For running it and hooking wires together, burn the thing up. The parts you need under flywheel
