Machine wont' run or stitch
I have a new machine and I've checked that it is properly threaded. I am using the adapter. When I depress the foot pedal, the needle goes into the fabric but does not move, does not stitch--machine hums. What could be wrong?

It is most likely the machine belt is slipping, re tension the belt and you should be fine. Also, just in case the needle has lost it's point change it and put in a new one just to be safe.
