Madam I have Sani-plus in my basement bathroom. For the last day or two it has been making a continuous growling noise even when not in use it is so bad I have to take the fuse out. Is there a simple thing I can do myself to solve this problem also is it safe to take the fuse out or is it dangerous. And I cannot afford to buy another one. Look forward to hearing from you. From Kevin
Yes taking the fuse out is very good idea and/or shutting off the breaker beyond that it sounds like the motor may be going. there is no way for me to say for sure but as a retired contractor i would suggest calling a professional as replacing/repairing such units can be a very dirty job for a novice. sorry for your trouble and good luck:)
I have a Sani compact 48, used it for a couple years and the pump started running constantly. I found a pressure switch that activates the pump was plugged with gunk. I cleaned it out with a toothpick ( very carefully) and it has been working good for 8 months again.
