Magellan 4000..dropped and cracked screen...unit still tracks, but touchscreen doesn't work.....is there somewhere I can buy a replacement screen as I did for my kid's Ipod?
Magellan customer support will tell you that they do not repair cracked TFT screens. They will offer to sell you a Refurbished unit for about $275.00. You can get a Refurb unit on ebay however the warranty on a Refurb is only 90 days so be careful.
Our repair center (jungleghost.com) has contacted China but we cannot procure any screens. Magellan will not sell any to us as they will not sell us motherboards in the case of a defected fluxgate compass.
only authorized service center of your device can help you for that.and it would also be costly.because its not available in the local electrical market.the scrap shop which is dealing in this old gps devices can be helpful.but you should get the touchscreen of that same model number.
