I have 20/20 vision with my best eye and I have to squint to see the text in the instruction manual. This doesn't last long because it's painful. It certainly doesn't take a genius to fore tell this as a problem with consumers and to put a copy of the instruction manual on the MP3 player itself. In addition, I was able to read that the MP3 player is supposed to display text although I haven't tried it yet. The instruction manual should also be put on the MP3 player in plain text so it can be read by the MP3 player. In this way, the manual is always available to the user. After all, how many people will memorize the whole manual. Just a little extra effort on the part of Altus and minimal extra cost at production makes the difference between a poor product and a good product. Besides, even if I want to do what Altus should have done (put the manual on the MP3 player) how much extra work will it be to find a copy? I haven't been able to find one yet.
