When you boot, press F8 to reach the windows menu and select Safe mode. Clean and Defrag the disk. Go in the Device Manager and erase the entries under Graphic-Controller. Then reboot.

I think you can test your RAM. The memtest86+ is a good tool. You download the .iso file (zip), you exctract the file to your C: drive.
