Maytag front load washer mfw9600sq1 fh error after just 3 minutes. I put new flow meter on, check drain, new hoses, clean plastic piece that the pressure switch hose connects to, clean out pump,
Thanks for using FixYa. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on, and after 8 minutes, the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off, and the error code will flash. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. This error occurs usually if there is no water in the unit: - Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way. - Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves. - Verify inlet valve operation. • If there is water in the unit: - Verify drain pump operation. - Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch. 1. Verify there is not a siphon problem. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check all hoses for possible leaks. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Verify pressure switch operation. 7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance. 8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee

This may seem like a silly question. But what water temp do you wash in? do you well water that's unfiltered? Here is a list to check from our manual.

Also have a look here below, this has some VERY useful info. http://www.technicianbrian.com/2009/11/whirlpool-washer-fh-error.html Now IF you have done all of that, AND you are sure of your workmanship & parts re-installed, then the Problem may be in the main Control Board, or "Brain" Sometimes it has been found that in actual fact it is the "water valve is malfunctioning" This need replacement
This is actually a fill error, it appears when the tub should be filling and is not being sensed. Make sure that both hot and cold water is turned on. Since you do see water coming into the tub this is an issue related to your pressure switch. It sounds odd but this can also be caused by a siphoning drain so check to make sure your washers drain hose has only a little over a foot into the drain otherwise this may cause it to siphon and throw up the same error. If the water is on and the drain hose checks fine then I would guess your gonna have to replace the pressure switch but right now my money is on the drain hose being shoved to far down in the drain pipe. Hope this helps.
No there should not be water in the black hose after draining. Your pump might be bad or the timerNo there should not be water in the black hose after draining. Your pump might be bad or the timer
If the washer went through all the steps that sounds like the pressure switch is bad on it. You need to replace itIf the washer went through all the steps that sounds like the pressure switch is bad on it. You need to replace it
Hi, I understand that you have checked for drain clogging but this error means some issues with the drainage . The clogging is not the one in the wall where the drain hose goes, but the internal drain, you have to use a seven mm quarter inch drive socket and a 2 inch or longer extension. Here is what you need to do . At the bottom there are three screws at the which must be removed. Once you have the bottom cover removed there is a "cylindrical box" thing with a front cover, the front covers is simply screwed into the cylindrical box housing, unscrew it. This is the internal filter, you'll find small particles jammed here. Now follow the drain line out and feel it from the outside by pinching it to see if it is clear and flush it with a wire hanger. Reassemble the washing machine now and the error code should go away. Please let me know if this does not help else please accept it. Thank You for contacting Fixya.com
