Maytag neptune washer noisy when in spin cycle. also there's a small hole located in the back of the machine on the drum with metal shavings coming out of it. The noise is a loud grinding noise. could this be a bad bearing on the drum?

You have a bad rear bearing in the outer tub. The entire outer tub would need to be replaced to resolve this issue.
Check your owner's manual to see what kind of warranty you have on this part. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you as this is an expensive repair!
