Meade ETX 70 telescope won't turn on regardless of power source
I have a Meade ETX 70 telescope that I received as a gift several years ago. Because of work responsibilities I was unable to find time to play with it until now. Heres's the problem. I put in the batteries as directed, connected the Autostar unit an tutn on the power switch...no power. Neither the power light nor the Autostar unit show any life. When I connect it to the house power with the supplied cable I get the same result. No power to the ETX unit. Can you help?

Dead on arrival!
Meade can fix these, but they must be shipped back to the factory.
