Medion akoya MD 96640. started with the screen going fuzzy and the whole thing locking up till the only way to switch off was to pull the battery out. Now when you switch on the lights light up and the fan and HD start up but theres not a flicker out of the screen, stays black. any ideas????

I also have the same problem with my Medion 96640. The screen started going fuzzy and now all I get is a white screen when powered up. I have sent it back to Medion who are putting a new motherboard in for me. If you purchased the laptop less than three years ago it will still be under warranty

Same problem with my sons 96640 In at Medion now waiting for supplies of new motherboard to come in-from what I have read elsewhere the graphics chip causes the same problem on other laptops, not just medion
