Hi- Are you receiving some error message? try reformating the jump drive to an os journaled or fat 16 using the disk utility tool. check as well the jump drive maybe its write protected, check at both ends for a small switch. if there's none, try reformating it then. if all fails then try hooking it on a different computer, computer running XP or windows. If none still, it may be a hardware issue. call manufacturer if its within warranty for a replacement.
But your computer is detecting the jumpdrive or its not even detecting it? because if its not detected try to connect it on a different USB port.. and what is your operating system of your computer?

First, go to my computer and right click the drive.
select "format".
click start. or OK.
this shoult format the drive. now you can write to it.
