Sounds like the 'lock' tab on the memory card has been moved to the 'safety' to prevent you from re-writing your card accidentally
Fix it by: 1 remove memory card from camera 2 look for the very little tab/switch on the front of the card 3 slide it to the unlocked position (opposite of now) 4 put it back into camera...should now allow you to take pictures
if the tab/switch is missing do not dispair... -use a small piece of clear tape to cover this 'tab/switch' opening
-this is the same concept as cassette/vhs/ 5 1/4" floppies...removing the 'tab' to lock it
ON THE VERY THIN EDGE OF THE MEMORY CARD THERE;S A VERY VERY SMALL DIFFERENT COLOURED SWITCH SLIDE THIS OVER & PRONTO IT WORKS (MINE WAS A SAMSUNG D75)
The sd card works just like the floppy disk, i was so confused when i saw everyone talking of the camera it bishop123 mentioned the card and my memory clicked back. thanks alot bishop123.
