Microphone drains batteries even when off
Use microphone only every week or so for a couple hours. After a week of being off with batteries installed, the batteries seem to run down. So we've begun removing them after each use and re-installing before the next use. Is there something wrong that the microphone would use batteries when turned off?

If you are using Nickel-Metal Hydride, rechargeable batteries, they are not designed to hold a charge for a week---just a couple of days if that. They are meant to be continuously charged or when charged, used immediately; best use for cameras/flash.
