I have a plantronics usb microphone headset that is working normally. When I start Rosetta Stone, it will test the mic and I say "1,2,3,4,5" and this registers with Rosetta stone. The microphone type also registers in the program and I select the correct mic to use. Then it says the test is successful. Once I exit out of settings an error message comes up that says "Rosetta Stone executable has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The program doesn't actually shut off, but I can no longer see my microphone on the microphone listing and I can no longer speak into the mic and have words register with the program in lessons
