Windows 7 will no longer be supported as of January 14th, 2020. Normally, they released ONLY security updates, they did that with Windows XP. Looks like that is not the case this time around: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4467761/windows-what-happens-when-windows-7-support-ends I'd insure your laptop will handle the upgrade to Windows 10: Windows 10 requirements: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028142/windows-10-system-requirements Also, a lot of people do not know this, I only do because I work with a lot of disabled people. Windows 10 upgrade is free to people with a disability as long as you have a windows 7 OS installed (including OEM). This worked for disabled people with any version of Windows 7 and up (8, 8.1).
