Recent changes to UK law now allows fcc type am/ss brigs to be used . They are not compatible with the 'normal' uk fm sets though as they are on different segments of the 11 m band.
For 11 meter (CB) the standard 40 channels will be the exactly same as the "EU" set of frequencies (channels). However the "UK" 11 meter (40 channels) and the U.S.A. 40 11 meter (40channels CB) will not work together at all. This includes any actual Citizen Band radio, excluding Export 10 an 12 meter radios often labeled as "CB'S" which they are not.
