Miele Revolution 600
Hi
We have a 4 year old Meile vacuum cleaner. It keeps cutting out when we are using it. The bag has been replaced and the suction tube is clear of
debris. Sometimes it can run for a minute, sometimes it can be every few
seconds. I think the motor is okay. It seems to happen when you are moving it like a loose connection on the suction tube side but cannot find anything to check as the tube fits into the main body via a round hole plus
a push fit 3 spade socket which seems okay and the spades look to be clean. Any ideas?? Thanks

This is a problem with the hose, and unfortunately it will require replacement of the entire assembly.
The SES-125 hoses produced in the general vicinity of late 2002 had a tendency to start building up static and kicking the motor off after a few years. The problem was rectified, and the more current hoses do not have this problem.
Head to your friendly neighborhood Miele dealer and get a new hose, and this problem will not occur again.

$380 is a bit high: I believe the MAP price of that is somewhere around $160-180.
You can't replace it with a different hose because the electrical connections back at the canister are different.
Miele's 2 year hose warranty is far superior to any other company's hose warranty. While it's unpleasant to have to replace it, can you think of any company on Earth that would replace a part that's 5,6,7 years old that worked fine prior to that?
