MINN KOTA MAXXUM FOOT CONTROL PROBLEMS
I HAVE A MINN KOTA MAXXUM 80lb TRUST BOW MOUNT. I WILL BE GOING ALONG OK , WHEN IT WILL CUT OFF. I CAN TURN THE MOM/CON SWITCH FROM MOM TO CON, AND BUMP THE FOOT PEDAL HARD. THIS WILL START THE MOTOR AGAIN. I CAN THEN SWITCH BACK TO MOM AND IT WILL RUN UNTIL IT DECIDES TO CUT OFF AGAIN. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT PART I NEED TO ORDER TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THANKS DOUG

Hi
I have the same problem as doug...what soled this problem?
— Minn Kota’s larger brushes, windings and commutators generate less heat, less noise and run cooler…extending motor life and conserving battery power. You get greater sustained thrust and more time on the water. A unique bearing system produces low rpms/high torque to cut down on fish-spooking noise — so quiet they’ll never hear you coming.
Any relays on that unit that you can see... likely needs to be replaced.

It has an electrical connection problem... check all the connections on the pedal control. your loosing connection making it die and when you kick it it connects again... look for a frayed wire. or a corroded connnection.
