Minnkota maxxum 70 has half the thrust is had before
I replaced the batteries and still has the same problem. it even stops working sometime usuall as the day wears on, and the if I spin the prop with my hand it will run again, it's like a bearing has seized or something.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. I would take it to a authorized dealer for repair if it's still under warranty. Can get a bit tricky to repair yourself unless you're comfortable with soldering.
