Minolta 7000 Maxxum
I have an old Minolta 7000 for which I purchased a Tamron 28 - 300 Aspherical LD lens. I bought the lens about 10 years ago (I think). My question is this: can this lens be adapted to a new digital SLR?

The Minolta Maxxum 7000 uses a Minolta A mount, which is also used on the Sony Alpha series, as they bought out Minolta's technology. All Maxxum lenses should work for the most part on the Sony Alpha series of DSLR's, including the autofocus.

You need to know the mm of the lens fitting.... and the mm of the camera fitting where the lens attaches... usually you can buy adaptors to mount different lens.
a good camera store should be able to assist you on that... even better ones will have the adaptors.

worth hanging onto is a subjective question (if that is the correct word). if it still takes great pictures of what you want... keep it
