Model 4E475A, furnace will start and light, but then the gas valve shuts down within 1-2 seconds, how do I check the flame detection on this furnace, I believe the unit uses flame rectification to sense burner ignition. Any help with testing or finding a service manual for testing will help me. Thanks Joe M

This is in a good question. I am not 100 percent sure but let me try to help you a little. If the unit will light but not stay on then I would assume 90 percent that its the flame sensor. It could also be that the unit is tripping out on an over temp sensor that could be malfunctioning. You should check these to see which it is.
