I leave my monitor on "on" (green light) and it goes to "standby"(amber light?) when computer is turned off. Problem is recently the screen is all white on computer start up; if I "fiddle" with the video connection on rear of monitor and turn the computer on/off a couple of times, it will work. I even left the computer on and turned the monitor off by the power button and turned back on - no go...this leads me to think monitor vs video card, etc. ????
