Monitor turns on then off quickly

When I power the monitor on the led turns green and the screen illuminates and then quickly goes dark, but right before it goes dark I see a 1" spectrum of many colors running vertically. then the led goes to yellow. I have opened it up checked the board connections and see nothing burned or discolored. when I power it on with the back open I can see that the backlights are still illuminating for 3 seconds before it turns off. I have tried it on several computers using both the VGA and the DVI connection with multiple different cables. This happened over the weekend and none of the other computers had any problems so I do not know if this might have been a power surge. Does anyone have any Ideas what might need to be fixed or replaced?

From your description of the issue, the LCD and or hte inverter has failed. If less than a year old, contact Princeton Digital for warranty repair, if outside 1 year, it is likely cheaper to replace than repair
