Monitor will not turn on
Blue light visible; monitor will turn off, must turn switch on and off several times to get monitor to turn on. Now the monitor will turn off after short period. Monitor will come up for one second and go off.

Capacitors in the power supply or inverter are begining to fail. If the monitor has a few thousand hours on it, the tubes may be close to the end of their service life as well.
If you open the unit up, look for bulged or leaking capacitors- when they leak it is a dark brown or black residue.
Unless the unit is rather new, it may not be a cost effective repair unless you have the patience to do the work yourself..
