Motherboard crash Hello, i have a problem about repairing my motherboard. Problem that: When i press power button there no any action. I tested my ATX by myself, it is working. Check your power supply. Do cord accidentally disconnected?
Do you use small AVR? Could it be choking the CPU of power. Check CPU power supply if it ok.
Next thing to check. Cpu unplugged and power off. Ram, video card, PCI card isolate the problem one by one until you get the fault. Or test it to another unit if you can.
Changing motherboard component is impractical actually like transistor.

If it is on motherboard better to replace the whole motherboard. Hope no other component has been damaged like cpu.
If it is on the power supply replace the power supply. But I think some other component is also damaged. If you have no other spare to test have it check to a repair shop.
Many power supplies have two(2) four lead connectors, be certain you have the right one connected to the upper left side of the cpu. The next place to check would be at the switching pin out at the bottom right of the MO board, if your switch block is unified, it may be a different configuration than the pin out. if this is the case, then you have the option to rewire the leads into paired blocks. Pain in the backside, but doable. if you cross the pins of the switch block one pair at a time you should be able to locate the power on comibination, the imprint on the board isn't always accurately applied.
