Motor Humming but blades not running

I hear the motor when I pull the switch but the blades won't turn forward; the fan works perfectly when I switch to REVERSE!

Hi m.. if this is a new installation, look up at the area where the blades attach and be sure that you have removed all the black rubber packing stops. If this has been running and now does not , then you probably have a bad capacitor on the motor.
